| Louis G. Lange,

Dr. Louis Lange is a founder of CV Therapeutics and has served as
the Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer since August
1992. From 1980 to 1992, Dr. Lange served on the faculty of the Washington
University School of Medicine, including a position as Chief of Cardiology
at the Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri, from 1985 to 1992,
and as a full Professor of Medicine from 1990 until 1992.
Dr. Lange is internationally recognized as an expert in
the field of molecular mechanisms of cardiovascular disease. He is
currently on the Board of Trustees at the University of Rochester.
He also serves on the Executive Committee of the Biotechnology Industry
Organization (BIO), as well as the BIO Board of Directors, and he
is chair of the Emerging Companies Governing Section. Dr. Lange holds
an MD from Harvard Medical School and a PhD in biochemistry from Harvard
University.

Mr. David Banks joined CVT in 2007 as Senior Vice President
of Operations. He has more than 20 years of operations experience
in the pharmaceutical industry having helped launch new products,
expand organizations to support rapidly growing businesses, improve
organizational effectiveness, and manage strategic alliances. He was
previously with Johnson & Johnson where he held positions as Vice
President of Consumer Alliance Management, responsible for the pharmaceutical
supply chain for J&J's Consumer Division, and as Vice President
of Manufacturing, leading a 700-person organization that manufactured
controlled-release pharmaceuticals and drug/device combinations.
From 1995 to 2001, Mr. Banks worked for ALZA Corporation,
in positions of increasing responsibility including Vice President
of Manufacturing, where he was instrumental in improving organizational
performance and building capabilities to launch several successful
products. Mr. Banks has also worked for Syntex where he led functional
groups in logistics, technical services, and manufacturing.
Mr. Banks received his MBA from East Tennessee State University
and his BS in industrial engineering from Tennessee Tech University.

Dr. Luiz Belardinelli is Senior Vice President of Pharmacology and
Translational Biomedical Research and a Distinguished Fellow of Cardiovascular
Science. Before joining CV Therapeutics in 1999, Dr. Belardinelli
was Professor of Medicine in the Divisions of Cardiology and Pharmacology
at the University of Florida, where he was the Eminent Scholar Chair
in Cardiovascular Research. Dr. Belardinelli has helped elucidate
the mechanism of action of late sodium current inhibition, defined
the role of cardiac adenosine receptor subtypes, and pioneered the
use of adenosine in the treatment of supraventricular tachycardia.
Internationally recognized as an expert in adenosine physiology
and pharmacology, Dr. Belardinelli has received awards such as the
Inventor of the Year Award from the University of Virginia (1992),
the Dr. Harold Lamport Award of the American Physiology Society Cardiovascular
Section (1984), and the Young Investigator Award of the 11th Interamerican
Congress of Cardiology (1980). He has authored over 160 journal articles
and book chapters and more than 20 U.S. patents.
Dr. Belardinelli received his MD from the Medical Catholic
School of Pôrto Alegre, Brazil and completed a four-year postdoctoral
research fellowship in the Department of Physiology at the University
of Virginia.

Dr. Brent Blackburn has served as Senior Vice President for Drug Discovery
and Development at CV Therapeutics since January 2004. He also served
as Senior Vice President for Drug Discovery and Preclinical Development
(2002-2004) and Vice President for Developmental Research (2000-2002).
At Genentech, Inc., Dr. Blackburn was part of the Research Department
(1989-1997) and project team leader for a cardiovascular product in
the Development Department (1993-1997).
Dr. Blackburn holds a BS in chemistry from Texas Christian
University and a PhD in chemistry from the University of Texas, Austin.
He completed postdoctoral research fellowships in the departments
of chemistry at Oxford University and the Massachusetts Institute
of Technology.

Ms. Carol Karp is Senior Vice President for Regulatory Affairs, Quality,
and Drug Safety at CV Therapeutics. She has over 25 years of experience
in regulatory affairs, project management, compliance, and quality
assurance in the pharmaceutical industry. Before joining CV Therapeutics,
she was Vice President of Scientific Affairs at PowderJect Technologies.
Ms. Karp has held previous positions as a corporate officer at VIVUS,
Inc. and established the regulatory affairs function at Cygnus, Inc.,
a transdermal drug delivery company, where she was the project leader
for EVRA®, the first oral contraceptive
patch co-developed with Johnson & Johnson. Ms. Karp began her
career in regulatory affairs at Janssen Pharmaceutica, a Johnson &
Johnson company, where she managed the approval process for several
new drug applications.
Ms. Karp received her bachelor's degree in biology from
the University of Rochester and pursued graduate studies at New York
University.

Ms. Diane Liguori joined CV Therapeutics in 1995 and is an integral
member of the senior management and the international and business
operations teams. She has led the human resources team for the past
ten years, helping the company manage its growth and commercial transformation
in concert with clinical and regulatory progress. Ms. Liguori led
the effort to establish and staff a European subsidiary in December
2002 and is at the helm of the employment team that most recently
managed the addition of US field-based sales and medical information
teams.
Ms. Liguori is an active member of the Bay Area Senior Human
Resources Group, a consortium of life sciences human resources professionals
that collectively addresses leadership challenges in the biopharmaceutical
industry. For the past twenty years, Ms. Liguori has held increasingly
senior roles in the Bay Area in both marketing and human resources.
Ms. Liguori holds a BS in biology from The College of William &
Mary.

Mr. John Mohr is Senior Vice President of Business Development. He has over 20 years of industry experience
in the life-science area. Previously, he held senior executive positions in corporate development with several bio-pharma companies including Topigen, Atherogenics and Perrigo. He was former Head of US Operations for
Fournier Pharma responsible for US commercial and development activities, including the successful partnering
and introduction of TriCor®, a billion dollar cardiovascular agent. Prior experience includes executive
management positions at Merck. including worldwide responsibility for marketing for Pepcid®.
Mr. Mohr has substantial experience in managing and licensing bio-pharma technologies as both operating executive and commercial strategist. He currently serves as a member of the
Business Development Roundtable for the Biotechnology Council of New Jersey and a member of the
Licensing Executive Society.
Mr. Mohr holds a BS in finance/accounting from Drexel University and is a
Certified Public Accountant and Licensing Professional.

Mr. Daniel Spiegelman has served as Senior Vice President and Chief
Financial Officer of CV Therapeutics since September 1999. He also
served as Vice President and Chief Financial Officer from January
1998 to September 1999. From 1991 until 1998, he was employed by Genentech,
Inc., holding various positions in the treasury department, including
the position of Treasurer from 1996 to 1998. Mr. Spiegelman is a member
of the board of directors of Cyclacel Pharmaceuticals and Affymax
Inc.
Mr. Spiegelman holds a BA in economics from Stanford University
and an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business.

Mr. Lewis Stuart is Senior Vice President of Commercial Operations.
He has more than 25 years of sales and marketing experience. Since
1990, he has held senior U.S. and European sales and marketing positions
within the biotechnology sector, including six years as vice president,
sales, at Agouron Pharmaceuticals, Inc., a Pfizer company. There,
he fielded an HIV sales organization to launch Agouron's lead product,
Viracept®, which became the most widely
prescribed protease inhibitor in the U.S. Earlier in Mr. Stuart's
career, he directed the sales teams for several cardiovascular products
at Bristol Myers Squibb, Inc., including Capoten®,
an ACE inhibitor prescribed to treat high blood pressure and congestive
heart failure, and Corgard®, a beta-blocker
prescribed to treat angina and high blood pressure.
Mr Stuart holds a BA in Marketing Communications from Virginia
Tech (VPISU).

Inc., holding various positions in the legal department. From 1988
until 1991, Ms. Suvari was employed by the law firm Irell & Manella
LLP in Los Angeles, CA.
Ms. Suvari holds a BS in geology and geophysics from Yale
College and a JD from Harvard Law School.
