Salary - We offer competitive, market-driven salaries.
Bonuses- Our bonus program includes a discretionary calendar year corporate bonus, based on corporate and individual performance.
Employee Stock Purchase Plan- Our aggressive ESPP, which offers stock at a discount, provides an opportunity for our employees to lock in a stock price for a predetermined period of time.
401k Retirement Savings Plan - Our 401k, which allows employees to save a portion of their annual salary on a pre-tax basis, is matched significantly by the company.
Flexible Spending Account (FSA) Plans- FSA plans help employees pay for eligible health and dependent care expenses with pre-tax dollars. Savings can be set aside for both healthcare and dependent care accounts.
529 College Savings Plan- The 529 Savings Plan enables employees to save for their own, their children’s, or any other designated beneficiary’s college education.
Vacation and Time Off
Vacation- We view time off as crucial for life balance. Employees accrue three weeks of paid vacation as well as enjoy 12 (one floating, 11 paid) holidays.
Flexible schedules- In a fast-paced world, we’re able to give our employees more options for their busy lifestyles. Our dress code is business casual and our work hours are flexible, with consideration given to alternate work schedules depending on business needs.
Health and Fitness
Medical and Dental Plans- Not surprisingly, health is an important focus at CV Therapeutics. We provide healthcare coverage for all employees and their dependents, and cover a significant portion of health insurance premium costs. We offer medical plans, a PPO dental plan, and a vision plan.
Sick Days- Employees receive up to 10 paid days per calendar year for personal sick time or for care of immediate family, including domestic partners.
Corporate Fitness Program- CV Therapeutics has partnered with local fitness centers to provide discounts on their memberships. In addition, convenient onsite showers and lockers allow employees to exercise on their own schedules.
Fresh Fruit- Twice a week, boxes of healthy, organic fresh fruit are delivered for the enjoyment of all employees based in Palo Alto.
Continuing Education
Educational Reimbursement Program- Investing in the continuing education of our employees is investing in our continuing success. To that end, tuition, books, laboratory fees, and other expenses for career-related classes, seminars, and conferences related to the development of employee knowledge and skills are eligible for reimbursement up to an annual maximum.
Computer and Library Services- In addition, we provide a broad program of in-house computer software training and a fully staffed library with access to 1,800 journals and more.
Other Benefits
Employee Assistance Program (EAP)- This program offers free, confidential, professional counseling services and information referral to employees and their immediate families, including domestic partners.
Onsite Services- Our company works with outside vendors to provide onsite services to our employees at a discount. Car washes, oil changes, and other services are available and aim to accommodate the employee’s schedule.
Employee Referral Program- All employees are encouraged to refer qualified candidates to open positions and will receive a cash bonus for every person hired.
